Abundant Life Apostolic Church's Purpose
Christ declared that the gates of hell shall not prevail against His Church (Matthew 16:18), but the very declaration reveals a continuous warfare. For several generations now, churches and families have been yielding strategic ground to secular world views. Our’s is the generation that will most likely see the Lord’s return, so we must redeem the time(Eph 5:16, Col 4:5) and renew our minds (Romans 12:1-2). We are in a life-and-death struggle for the very souls of our loved ones. The future of our church and our families depends entirely on how clearly we define and achieve these Scriptural goals.
OUR PURPOSE IS ...To guide each individual to put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ And to love Him with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. (Romans 10:9)
OUR PURPOSE IS ... To build Christ’s character in individuals, in marriages, and in families, so that they will be above reproach and an witness of the Christian faith. (Colossians 1:28-29)
OUR PURPOSE IS ... To teach every man how to delight in and meet the needs of his wife, with the same sort of love that Christ gave to the Church when He sacrificed Himself for her. (Ephesians 5:25)
OUR PURPOSE IS ... To teach every wife how to love her husband and children, how to be discreet and pure in mind, how to manage her own home, and how to adapt to her husband, so that those who know her cannot speak against the Christian faith. (Titus 2:4-5)
OUR PURPOSE IS ... To reach out to those that have needs (physical and spiritual) with the gospel and resources God has given us. (Matthew 25: 31-46)
OUR PURPOSE IS ... To demonstrate our love for the Lord by showing our love one for another (Luke 6:27-36; John 13:34-35) and faith in Christ (James 2:14-20) Love and Faith in action.
OUR PURPOSE IS ... To instruct in and apply God’s principles of finances and stewardship in the church and in each family, so that God can provide specific direction and illustrate His supernatural blessings. (Malachi 3:10; Luke 6:38,12:16-48,16:1-13)
OUR PURPOSE IS ...To train Christians to edify one another and strengthen the church by sharing with one another what God is doing in their lives. (Ephesians 5:19)
OUR PURPOSE IS....To carry on the Apostolic doctrine has the early church did in the book of Acts. Believing there is NO SHAME in being called Pentecostal or Apostolic (Luke 9:26), but rather in raising this banner is in effect lifting up the Lord Jesus Christ (John 12:32)
OUR PURPOSE IS....To share the life changing message of the Gospel (Matt 10:8) and to bring the love of Christ into as many lives as we can before he returns to receive us home (I Thess 4:16-18)
In fulfilling our purpose we are obeying Matt 28:19-20, Mk 16:15-18, Luke 24:46-49 and Acts 1:8, 2:38-39
