SFC Section 6 Kickoff Rally
Friday April 18, 2008
It was that time of the year to join Pastor Mike Garber, Brother and Sister Beaver, and the Abundant Life Apostolic Church's Youth at the kickoff rally for Section 6 of Ohio UPCI District where the youth of 25 churches kicked things off.
It was held at
Calvary Church in Springdale/Cincinnati, Ohio where Brother Norman Paslay II is the pastor. It was real refreshing seeing so many young adults/teenagers on fire for God! We walked in to hear a group of local singers and it was definitely what "the doctor" ordered to put one's mind on the rally and God!
We got there on the early side and once again we were honored to see another way our pastor is dedicated to the ministry because he was the "MC". You really begin to appreciate the behind the scenes stuff Bro Garber and Bro Beaver do when you attend things like this. Taking a guess, there were over 200 people in attendance and one girl left the service filled with the Holy Ghost. That alone made the night and made all of us glad we made the trip!
It was great watching other UPC Apostolics gather to fellowship. Calvary Church has a beautiful sanctuary and everyone was friendly. A BIG thank you goes out to the members of Calvary Church for welcoming all of us and hosting this event!
Now this group was full of smiles and love.. in other words being their normal selves. Abundant Life was well represented by this crew and Bro and Sis Beaver are doing a wonderful job with our youth. Being with this group makes the journey a little easier and you know how to make someone smile when they are down in the valley!
Sitting here are just a few of the tools the Holy Ghost used to melt my hard heart on January 28th. Our church is real blessed by the youth of our church and they are fine examples of the people who go to Abundant Life Apostolic Church. Sister Heidi's smile is infectious!!!!
The Service is about ready to begin and you could feel the anticipation in the air!
The Youth in the Cincinnati area churches are very talented in the music ministry!
Poor Brother Jason...He gets "volunteered" no matter where he is! Both brother Jason and Sister Heidi got up and stood for churches within our section who didn't have anyone there. This is just the kind of people these two are. When these two finally get married, God is really going to use them both in the ministry He has called them to. No matter where they are, they are BOTH HUGE blessings!
Planting seed offerings!
People on their feet, minds on God and worshipping in Spirit and in Truth
Our Pastor, Brother Mike Garber, wearing just one of the other hats he wears in the Ohio District UPCI. God has blessed us with a wonderful man of God as our pastor and Sister Garber only compliments him in the ministry God has placed them in. Church, REMEMBER to pray for this man and his family..pray that God continues to use them in a mighty way as He has been doing!
Some great jammin and music after the service ended! Cincinnati, you are truly blessed by your youth ministries!!!
Here, the great questions of the day are being pondered after church by our youth. Will it be Applebees or Steak and Shake?
Webmasters note-
I am very glad I made the trek with Brother Garber and the Youth. Although, I definitely now feel OLD, it made my heart young again and it was a great blessing to just be a part in this. Fellowshipping is very important and this was my first trip to another Apostolic Pentecostal Church since coming back to the Lord. I had a great time and the trip encouraged me in many ways.

Brother LJ Harry was the guest speaker and He did a wonderful job and I know the message was recieved by the youth present!
